Rodgers 340 Console
Following a gradual replacement over 18 months of the original analogue tone sources with samples supplied by John Giacchi, Cameron Simpson and Neil Jensen, I made the decision to completely gut and refinish the original walnut console in satin black.
The new specification was developed by Neil Jensen and Simon Gledhill.
The new, 171 stop ( by way of 129 SAMs and 42 lit pistons), satin black console came on line in mid 2006. The sampling engines were a pair of DAWs (XP PCs) running Gigastudio 3. Twelve months later the sampling engine was changed to Hauptwerk, which ran on a 4 core MacPRO with three Echo Audiofire 12 sound cards. The main sample set used is Neil Jensen's Connoisseur series 3/35 for Hauptwerk. From that set I utilise 28 ranks, plus 3 ranks from Brett Milan's Masterworks 3/31 for Hauptwerk.
